cleverly acquires Complori, expanding its offering to include programming and financial education for children
Berlin, October 6, 2025 - cleverly announces the acquisition of Complori. With this acquisition, cleverly is expanding its existing offering to include Complori's specialized playful learning products for programming and financial education.
A shared vision for the future of education The integration of Complori creates a unique portfolio: cleverly has been empowering children and young people for years with individual 1:1 online tutoring and mentoring in areas such as self-confidence, motivation to learn, and the ability to focus. Complori complements this with playful group courses on digital skills for the future, such as programming and financial literacy.
“With Complori, we are gaining a company that perfectly complements our mission. Together, we can not only support children and young people in their school journey, but also prepare them for the digital future. I am particularly pleased that the Complori product will enable us to offer online group courses in the future,” says Philipp Grassinger, Co-CEO of cleverly.
Families and B2B partners will thus benefit from an even broader range of educational offerings from a single source, providing the right educational solution for the different stages of childhood and adolescence. "We are very pleased to have found a partner in cleverly that shares our vision for the future of education. With our combined product portfolio, we can accompany children through different stages of learning. In addition, cleverly has built strong partnerships in the employee benefits sector in recent years, these partners will also be able to use Complori products in the future. This will enable us to reach even more families together," says Amanda Maiwald, CEO and co-founder of Complori.
Investors support the strategy with new investment The existing investors of both companies are participating in a new financing round, thereby reaffirming their confidence in the joint alignment. “We see this acquisition as the logical response to the current market situation. Complori and cleverly complement each other perfectly - the combined company is ideally positioned for sustainable growth,” said Jörg Binnenbrücker, Founding Partner at Capnamic Ventures and Lead Investor at cleverly. In addition to Capnamic, VC funds Rubio Impact Ventures, Speedinvest, Educapital, and Sparkmind are also participating.
